Swimming Sports Sees 400 Swimmers

A record number of swimmers entered the Freyberg inter-house swimming competition with all four houses entering 100 competitors. There were so many swimmers that the staff vs. student relays had to be postponed.

The racing that did happen on the day was fierce and highly competitive. With the new Manawatu-House chant filling the room, swimmers had no shortage of motivation, (most just wanting to silence the Manawatu noise.) After much encouragement for participation, and subterfuge before the event about which house had how many entrants, the House competition was won by Tararua, followed by Manawatu.

A big thankyou to the staff and students who organised on the day, and special thanks to Mr Lowe for his work compiling the times and entrants.
