Alexia Clark cast in first major lead role
Year 12 student Alexia Clark, known at Freyberg as Blousey Brown in
last year's Bugsy Malone School Musical has won the lead role in Abby
Theatre's 42nd Street at the Regent in August.
She already boasts
an impressive performing arts resume. At the young age of only 15, she
gained the second highest mark in the country for her Grade 8 Trinity
College examination in Musical Theatre late 2010. This impressive musical
knowledge has been put to use in a variety of adult stages including the
recent Wine Women and Song concerts (pictured).

- Highest mark in Manawatu / Wanganui, Second highest in New Zealand for Grade 8 Musical Theatre Trinity College Examination in 2010. Second highest in New Zealand
- Lead female role in Freyberg High School's Bugsy Malone 2010
- Louisa Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, directed by Pat Snoxell 2009.
- Winning (and other placings) in Freyberg Idol 2008-2010
Alexia will be playing Peggy Sawyer in 42ND STREET, a role which will utilise not only her singing and acting skills, but also her seven years of tap dancing experience with some complex tap routines.
