Highlights of Prize Giving 2011
End of year prize giving is always a chance to reflect on the year's
achievements and be entertained by the best of the year's Dance, Music and
Kapahaka performers. The evening began with stirring Waiata and skillful
concert bands, but it was interschool champion dance group Mzgvs who stole
the show for many.
The interhouse competition was a three horse race, with Tararua narrowly beating Kapiti for second place by a solitary point. Manawatu house had gained a comfortable lead and were delighted to win the interhouse trophy. Manawatu house captains and twins Lauren and Rebecca Mudd are pictured with the trophy.
The student leaders of 2012 werealso annouced. Head Boy and Girl are going to be the former school production co-leads Sam Seumanu and Alexia Clark. Student council president and vice president are a pair who also know each other well through school activities - Courtney Walker and Rebekah Thompson.
