August 21st UPDATE: School Examinations in Week 9

 News Articles

Due to the proposed industrial action planned for the last week of term, we have made some adjustments to the school exam schedule. We want to ensure there is as little disruption as possible for our students during this important time.To accommodate this, the exams will now start one day earlier than previously scheduled.

School examinations will be held in Week 9 and 10 of this term (Wednesday 10th September to Thursday 18th September). These exams provide an important opportunity for students to assess their knowledge and understanding, identifying areas where they may need to focus more before the NCEA exams next term. It is crucial that students take these exams seriously, as they will receive valuable feedback from their teachers.

An assembly will be held in Week 9, to explain the exam processes to all students. More details will be provided once the date has been finalised.

The finalised exam timetable has been sent home and given to students. If students have an exam clash, Tarron Stead will be in contact with them individually in the coming week to provide them with an individualised timetable.

Friday 19th September will be a normal school day, and students will be expected to be in classes. This is so that they have an opportunity to speak to their teachers about the exams before going on school holidays.

Important things to note:

• Students are to be at their exam room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

• Students can leave the exam after the first hour.

• Laptops and chargers need to be brought to all digital exams. Extension cords and multi boards will be available in the exam room.

• A clear drink bottle can be taken into the exam, but no food is permitted.

• Students are to bring their stationery in a clear plastic bag.

• Graphing calculators need to be reset prior to the exam by a staff member, this will be done outside the exam room.

• 12HO, 11VA, 11VD, 12/13EG – these are practical sessions, and your teacher will provide you with more information
