Freyberg High School is an employing school (also known as the lead school) for the Resource Teacher:

Responsibilities

Tasks and duties in the role:

  • Responds to performance issues in a timely and effective manner, providing visibility to the Ministry on any risks, issues, or concerns, including what action has been taken.
  • Collect evidence and data in alignment with the funding agreement requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Employer of the RTLB service within their cluster.
  • Governance of the RTLB service on behalf of all schools and kura in their cluster.
  • Compliance with funding agreement requirements and the operating standards and procedures.

Lead school principal

Responsibilities

Tasks and duties in the role:

  • Actively supports RTLB staff and holds them accountable for performance and development.
  • Provides suitable working environments for RTLB that meets property and health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains relationships with other principals within their cluster at an agreed frequency, to regularly address opportunities and challenges.
  • Any other appropriate responsibilities that are delegated by the lead school board within any delegation agreement.

Accountabilities

  • Manage accurate financial records of the RTLB. This includes ensuring funding is allocated in line with the funding agreement.
  • Leads strategic planning and annual reporting to the lead school board, cluster schools or kura.
  • Maintains RTLB alignment with the funding agreement, national education priorities, and operating standards and procedures.
